Hushread

Pick your sources. Understand the news.

An RSS and news reader with no algorithm. When thirty outlets cover one event, you see it once, as a story with a timeline of how it unfolded.

A Hushread story page: a summary of the story so far, then each outlet’s report on a timeline

How to use

  1. Pick your sources

Start from 2,500+ curated sources, add any site or feed, import OPML, or name a topic.

  2. Watch stories form

Same-event articles group into one story as they arrive. Tap it for every outlet’s take on a timeline.

  3. Read what earns it

A quick take on top, the clean full article underneath, no ads or popups, light or dark.

What else it does

  • The news, not the echo

Syndicated copies, cross-feed duplicates and follow-up rewrites collapse, so one headline doesn’t reach you five times.

  • Topics, not just feeds

Skip the RSS hunt. Name a topic and every new article about it lands in your feed, from any outlet.

  • Facebook, Reddit and YouTube

Follow pages, subreddits and channels like any other source. Paste the link and Hushread finds the feed.

  • Quick takes, not rewrites

Your feed keeps every outlet’s own headline. Open an article and a two-sentence take sits on top of the original.

  • Listen to any article

Natural-voice narration for every article, and a one-minute spoken summary of what’s trending across your sources.

  • Rules that read tone

Mute, mark read or get notified by keyword, by source, or by the sentiment of the article itself.

Troubleshooting

Does Hushread use an algorithm to rank my feed?

No. Your sources appear in the order they published. Nothing is ranked or injected.

Can I move my feeds from another reader?

Yes. Import an OPML file and your sources come with you.

What if a site has no RSS feed?

Add the site or name a topic instead. Hushread also follows Facebook pages, subreddits and YouTube channels.

Can I use it without the app?

Yes. Hushread also runs in the browser at app.hushread.com.
